Christian Formation

Church School Program- Our children's Christian Education program runs from kindergarten through sixth grade. The program focuses on bible studies, church history, and traditions. With the completion of sixth grade, our students move forward into confirmation preparation classes.

Confirmation Preparation Program - Any person in the seventh grade or older is welcomed to explore their future as an Episcopalian in preparation to making Confirmation. This is a two year multi-aspect program including instruction with the Priest, community service, and a retreat. The Bishop will confirm the candidates at Trinity Cathedral after completion of all the requirements.

Teen Forum- Open to all high school teens interested in having an open discussion on current topics facing all young Christians in today’s society. This is hosted by Father Bob every month with a fifth Sunday.

Adult Education- Seasonally focused bible and/or book studies are held throughout the year for adults looking to expand their knowledge and understanding. Special instruction is provided to help those people interested in being received or confirmed in the Episcopal Church.

Youth Ministries- Supervised by our Youth Minister it is a multi level program including youth days for everyone one under 18 years of age. There are separate programs for Junior youth group members: those in 5th through 8th grade and Senior youth group members: those attending high school. In addition the young people are offered other opportunities to explore their relationship with God through outside speaker programs, trips, performances, and fellowship. They receive a monthly newsletter named, “The Nail.” (click here to see a current copy.)

Retreats- We currently hold two retreats throughout the year. One is for members of the church vestry, where they can develop a working plan for the future growth of the parish. The second retreat is for our Junior and Senior Youth Groups. Held in the fall, it is their chance to connect with God in spiritual ways, which will help prepare them for working together as a team and develop lifetime skills.
